Mountain Rescue Operations Platform — Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team

Please read these terms carefully before using the Mountain Rescue Operations Platform (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
The Platform is developed and operated by Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team (“we”, “us”, “WMRT”), a voluntary mountain rescue organisation based in Cumbria, England. It is made available to other mountain rescue teams for operational use.
Access to the Platform is controlled by your team administrator. Depending on how your team is configured, you may be granted access automatically upon signing in with a valid email address on an authorised domain, or your account may require explicit approval from a team administrator.
You must be a current member of a mountain rescue team that has been granted access to the Platform. You must not share your account or credentials with any other person. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove access for any user at any time, with or without notice.
The Platform is provided for operational use only. You must not:
You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you enter into the Platform, including equipment status, incident details, and team records. Inaccurate data may affect operational decisions.
Operational data held within the Platform — including incident logs, member information, and equipment records — is sensitive. You must not share, export, or disclose this data outside of normal operational use without authorisation from your team administrator.
The Platform is provided as an operational support tool. It is not a safety-critical system and must not be relied upon as the sole means of coordination, communication, or decision-making during an incident or rescue operation. Teams must maintain independent operational procedures that do not depend on the availability of the Platform.
We accept no liability for any loss, harm, or operational failure arising from the unavailability of, or reliance upon, the Platform during an incident.
We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or for reasons beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.
The Platform and its underlying code are the property of Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights in the Platform beyond those necessary to use it for the purposes described.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WMRT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. Our total liability to you in connection with the Platform shall not exceed £100.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last updated.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
